We are take daily safety measures to minimize the spread of infections in childcare settings. Daily health screenings are required on all students upon arrival including staff and visitors. Any student who experience any respiratory illness symptoms, must remain out for a minimum of 48 hours or until there are no more illness symptoms. Symptoms may change with new Covid-19 variants which can be very contagious.
We truly believe that the early years matter and we work directly with parents to ensure that their child is on track with developmental milestones. Within the first 30 days of enrollment, teachers will do an developmental assessment of the child and share the results with parents. If there is a developmental delay and any other concerns, we would send a referral to our community partner, First Steps. This program have many resources and services to address any concerns for children birth to age 3. Our program follows the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines for preparing healthy foods and snacks for all of our students. In the fight against obesity, we do not allow sweet treats for celebrations; however we celebrate our students in other ways. Our students participate in family style dining throughout the year. The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children - better known as the WIC Program - serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care.
